With the arrival of the EPCOT Center in 1982, Disney was forced to take a look at its pricing structure. The old strategy book tickets would not work for this new park, with its megalithic pavilions sponsored by companies. With each company paying handsomely for a seat at the table EPCOT, Disney said how could a sponsor that their attraction is a D-or C-ticket, while their neighbor was an E?
